New work from Lacey Criswell + Amanda Hankerson, the director/photographer duo of Hunt + Capture.
Assignment – The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (also known as Rock Hall) in Cleveland recently rebranded and they needed a fresh set of photo and motion assets to use across their marketing platforms. Hunt + Capture spent 10 days at the Rock Hall capturing the depth and breadth of the Rock Hall experience--from education programs to concerts. This brought a new schedule every day. We started at 5 AM in the morning to catch the morning light that illuminated the Rock Hall and we often filmed 'til midnight to capture the electric concert crowds.
Talent – We worked with a mix of attendees and hired talent. We documented people enjoying the museum to create authentic vignettes. We also worked with a local PA to cast a handful of talent from Cleveland to create cinematic moments.
The Surprise – We loved the joy and emotion the Rock Hall brings to its guests. From employees to attendees, everyone we approached to be a part of this campaign was thrilled to be involved.
Inspiration – We always loved the opening credits to HBO's series Vinyl. We wanted the feel to be similar, but also represent the wide range of ages and activities the Rock Hall offers.
Deliverables – We completed a series of motion spots and library of still images that highlighted the story of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and its legacy. 1 x :60 highlight spot for broadcast, 5 x :30 spots for different departments, series of :10 vertical video, 100 hero still images, library of images for different departments, and curated art images for advertising.
The Crew – Lacey Criswell, Amanda Hankerson, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame marketing crew and staff, Heidi Quicksilver, Bobbi Peacock, Chris Savage, Tony Evanovich, Josh Mruz.
Location – Cleveland, Ohio , USA
