Hear from an Activity Director at a top senior living facility the many ways Photavia has helped their residents and staff.
Pat Durham of Heritage at Deer Creek was one of the first people in the country to advocate for PHOTAVIA and it's "A Moment in Time" Series and now she is a NAAP Award winner.
The National Association of Activity Professionals (NAAP) recently awarded Pat with the "Activity Professional of the Year" in 2020. Pat is an amazing caregiver, advocate and leader and we are very proud of her accomplishments and thankful for her support of our programming. Pat is currently the Life Enrichment Director at Heritage and we look forward to seeing what other innovations she brings to Heritage in the future as the Caregivers world is changing rapidly. On a side note, Ms. Durham was also named the 2016 Wisconsin Activity Director of the Year

As a first adopter Pat share's her findings about PHOTAVIA:
". . . when residents sit down to watch PHOTAVIA, it brings them to the attention of the screen, so even if their mind has been wandering, we can jog them back to being with us. And that can be a big deal for people – to remember and know that they remembered.”
“PHOTAVIA can make an activity director’s life easier because it’s another tool that we didn’t
have before, and it’s something really different. Sometimes when a resident’s having a difficult day, if we take them and sit them down and we can center them on PHOTAVIA, it can help reduce the need to give them a drug to settle them down.”
