Aug 20, 2011. I was sitting in the office in Lake Clark and everyone said, "fuels here." Fuel is delivered by plane. Everyone knows the sound of the plane. So I went out to see. It is a very old plane -- the only one left that is big enough to haul fuel (4,000 gal) and can also land on short dirt runways. I thought the pilot was waving at me -- but actually he was telling me to get back. When these big planes land they can shoot rocks out from under the tires like bullets -- the maint. staff said they should of told me to stay back. My day as the village idiot. -- when fuel is delivered everyone has trailers with tanks stapped to them that they tow with four wheelers and the pilots of the plane have a gas pump -- just like a gas station. People fill their tanks and are billed.
