The MTA and HBO are running this 1920s era "Lo-V" Train on weekend afternoons in September to promote the upcoming season of Boardwalk Empire. The train runs from 42nd Street/Times Square to 96th Street & Broadway, on the express line. The most memorable items were the overhead ceiling fans, porcelain handgrips, and wicker seat cushions. It is reported that HBO paid roughly $150,000 to the MTA for the promotional run.
