I’ve been a customer of Bolyard’s Meat & Provisions since Chris opened shop 4 years ago. So, when I decided to dive into a narrative motion project, it was an easy choice. I have so much respect for the way Chris runs the shop and his business. He is committed to local, clean meat and using the entire animal. He is smart and straightforward, has a strong sense of community and makes a pretty badass sandwich. He has a great story, making my job pretty easy.
His business philosophy is in such alignment with my photography. As a “farm to table” photographer, the sustainability and responsibility issues revolving around food and consumption are of great concern to me. So, when I met Chris and he introduced me to his shop, it was a natural fit both personally and professionally.
As I’ve gotten to know Chris, his family, and his team at the shop, my admiration for them all has only grown. And, I love that I have a neighborhood butcher!
A return to the small batch artisan is a trend I would love to see continue, and I want to tell their stories... all of them!
