Teaching at West Dean in Chichester.
Vid is a little fuzzy as there was nothing on the tracing paper for the camera to focus on. The info is still very clear.
I talk about how copperplate script gets it's name and then start with the the development of the script as a calligraphic hand, looking at its origins. I start off with the scripts in the Gothic Period and how we move from there to the Humanist Minuscule and how that leads on to the Cancallaresca scripts and how copperplate starts from there.
I also look at how a small left oblique cut nib changed to a flexible pointed nib.
The next vid picks up from where Spencerian script evolves.
