After 30 years documenting the quetzal, it took me on a journey of discoveries through Mesoamerica. We want to take our message of awareness with free cinema to rural areas and schools in México and Guatemala.
The quetzal has survived, from its mythological symbolism in the Maya and Mexica pantheons, to the fragile species that now live in the cloud forests of Mesoamerica.
We must protect its habitat which humans destroy with no mercy.
