A tradition that began four years ago is now one of the most influential and inspiring fashion moments of New York Fashion Week. Supima cotton has partnered up with the top fashion institutions in the country: The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), The Pratt Institute, The Rhode Island School of Design, and The Savannah College of Art and Design. Each school has nominated two students of its graduating class to compete with all original designs using only Supima cotton for women's evening wear.
The students chosen were: MaRu Jung & Dara Rosen (Pratt), Rachel Pullman and Connie Weng (Rhode Island), Marlow Larson & Lorena Cuevas (Savannah College), and Amy Bittner & Jusil Carroll. The guest celebrity judges that chose the winner were Kevin Harter, VP of Supima Buxton Midyette, fashion designer Nicole Miller, supermodel Coco Rocha, fashion designer Charlotte Ronson, and Alexandra Wilkis Wilson. The host of the event was celebrity stylist and designer, Rachel Zoe.
