The Sisters of the Congrégation de Notre-Dame (CND) opened their first convent school in Waterbury on September 8, 1869.
The year 2019 marks the 150th anniversary of CND presence in that city and it is a time to express gratitude for the lives and works of all CND Sisters who taught Waterbury children over the years. It is also a time to celebrate with the Sisters who remain in Waterbury and its surrounding areas, serving in different ways, faithfull to Marguerite Bourgeoys's charism of liberating education.
Happy 150th anniversary!
