SUPERNOVA SPECIAL ELECTION 2018

Your vote will count in Supernova Digital Animation Festival’s first ever Special election, an invitation only program featuring works created by 33 Phenomenal artists from around the world for our most dynamic public LED Screen, located at 16th and Arapahoe right next to the historic D&F Tower and above Skyline Park.
Animations are between 45 seconds to 2 minutes in length, and will screen in a rotation throughout the day. Ballots will be available in the Skyline Beer Garden, where you can grab some suds after enjoying the program, hit us up for a $1 off beer coupon at one of Supernova’s pre-festival events all week starting September 18th.
Audience vote will determine the $1,000 cash prize awarded to the animation receiving the most votes. One ballot per person only, see our sample ballot.

Supernova’s first ever Student Competition will also run concurrently on the 16th and Arapahoe screen throughout the day. Over twenty works of a minute or less have been produced by select students from state institutions, representing CU Denver, CU Boulder, RMCAD, DU EDP and CSU! A $500 cash prize will go to the lucky winner of this competition, with that prize being determined by Supernova special visiting guest juror Jonathan Monaghan, a titan in the world of Contemporary Art.
