The Science Film Festival of the Goethe-Institut is a celebration of science communication in Southeast Asia, South Asia, Africa and the Middle East: it promotes science literacy and facilitates awareness of contemporary scientific, technological and environmental issues through a selection of outstanding international films with accompanying educational activities. The event has grown considerably since its first edition in 2005, becoming the largest event of its kind worldwide. The Science Film Festival 2018 explores the issues around nutrition and meeting the demands of a fast growing global population as one of the key challenges of this century.
