Straight pool, one of the most well-loved and historically prominent games in pocket billiards, has earned a storied past in American history.
On August 30, 2011, the inaugural induction ceremony for the Straight Pool Hall of Fame was held in conjunction with the 71st World Tournament in 14.1 at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick, NJ.
The first two players honored with an induction into the Hall of Fame were founder of the game Jerome Keough and living legend Ray Martin. This video, which was presented during the induction ceremony, showcases many of Martin's career highlights along with footage from his appearance in the popular TV game show "What's My Line."
