We shot this Ad a while back. It was for Brand SA, the entity in charge of the image of South Africa locally and abroad. The concept revolved around a rhythm that the country pulsed on that every person played a part of. We created scenarios of everyday life and a simple rhythm that held all of the various rhythmic patterns each activity created, from the simplest to the complex. The overall tone had to be dynamic yet unforced and effortless. Various races, ages and cultures had to feel as one. It was also crucial that the whole journey of the rhythm be conducted by a young girl, a way of positing a future that is desired.
