Last year, enchanted by the magic of Bhaktapur, Nepal, we found ourselves making our first ever film.
As we were backpacking, we had no lighting, rudimentary sound gear and didn't understand a word of the local language, Newari. You could say we threw ourselves in at the deep end.
However, we couldn't resist exploring the the beautiful ritual of daily bhajan groups that are so prevalent in the area. While bhajans (devotional songs) are sung all across Nepal and India, we decided to delve as deep as we could into the role of bhajans in daily life in this ancient city.
