New Jersey workers’ compensation attorney Larry Popp explains why you should not sign a release received weeks after a car accident.
Perhaps you are still recovering from injuries sustained in a car accident, and you may still be in pain. The insurance company sent a form to try to get you to waive your rights to sue the other driver. You should not sign it because your future is uncertain at that time. You do not know the full extent and nature of your injuries.
You do not know what further treatments you may require. The pain in your neck may turn out to be from an unknown injury that will require serious surgery. You do not want to sign away your right to pursue recovery of damages for such injuries. Watch the video to learn more.
