I am not a religious person in the traditional sense, but since reading Ken Follett’s Pillars of the Earth, I have been captivated by the beauty and scope of the edifices Christian thought has produced through the ages. Notre-Dame de Paris and Canterbury Cathedral are two well known examples among many, and the contemplation of their construction is truly awe inspiring.
Although not as grand as these structures, the Cathedral at Wells bestows on a small market town the title of city, and as one writer put it, is poetic in its execution. Other locations in the video include Market Place and the Bishops Palace Gardens.
