In this Skype chat, Rijker serves as luminary mentor to Fortnight contributor Christina Cruz, a young boxer who recently qualified for the first-ever women's Olympic boxing team. Fortnight documents the movement of Cruz every 14 days this edition.

In Part II, Cruz asks Rijker about the frustrating elements of their vocation. Rijker describes her experience as one of the first women ever to walk into a boxing gym. Rijker advises Cruz on how staying centered can turn external sexism into personal power. Finally, in an emotional moment, Rijker blesses Cruz's 2012 Olympic bid—thus passing the struggle for athletic glory (and fair regard) from established trailblazer, to young torchbearer.
