Motion graphics add zest to graphs, charts and data points to help make sense of poverty statistics.
Working with Michigan Media, Kohlitz animated and edited this video that looks beyond short sighted claims and explains the bigger picture when it comes to poverty in the U.S. The video was on a time sensitive timeline as the week they wanted to release the video, was the week where the U.S. government would be releasing the 2017 Census data on poverty. The client, Poverty Solutions, wanted to be ready with it's expert interpretation and commentary. Poverty Solutions at the University of Michigan informs and tests innovative solutions for the prevention and alleviation of poverty. Poverty Solutions seeks to leverage the immense intellectual assets and academic scope of the university to make a major impact on the lives of millions of Americans.
