A baroque discovery and play installation for tiny tots (children aged from 3 months to 3 years) centred around art cabinets and baroque music
Welcome to Curiosa’s rooms of wonderment, where children up to the age of three can explore the amazing world of the baroque through play. In this world of sensory experiences, the little ones (and you) can touch, hold and marvel at rarities, art cabinets and drawings. And listen to musicians playing music and on instruments from Rubens’ time. Did you know that Rubens was captivated by curiosities? He even built a room to house these wonders of the world – referred to as ‘mirabilia’- and he designed a garden to display the treasures he collected on his travels in Italy, Spain, France and England. All this eventually led to the development of museums.
In Curiosa, four performers take you to five cupboard installations, each of which contains new, natural, exotic and marvellous phenomena, just waiting to be discovered.
