Figures in a Floating landscape is the 2nd part of a trilogy by composer Peter Coyte and choreographer Dora Frankel and their 3rd collaboration. It is an immersive sound, music, dance performance taking the audience on a journey inspired by primarily 3 places in Kent, Reculver Castle, Margate and Folkestone. It references the later improvisatory sketches by the much loved and radical landscape painter JMW Turner created on his travels, and contextualises them in light of environmental change and damage. The structure is a series of scenes or evocations connected by ‘walks’ and seques. This is trio 'Margate' created for Fertiel Ground as art of Internationla Women's Day March 8th 2018 and performed in The Holy Biscuit, Newcastle by Katherine Whale, Alyssa Lisle and Giulia Coti Zelati. Film Jessica Hill. Edit and mastering Kevin Wong.
