The George Mason University Aspiring Scientists Summer Internship Program (ASSIP) was established in 2007 for high school and undergraduate students to gain hands on experience in laboratories using cutting edge technology. The student scientists have the opportunity to work in areas of science such as Biochemistry, Biodefense, Bioinformatics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Genomics, Nanotechnology, Neuroscience, and Proteomics.
