Trekking in the Baliem Valley (West Papua, Indonesia) is an experience like no other. You are most certainly not going to sleep nor eat very well for a few days, but with a little bit of chance you'll get to live some out-of-this-world moments. I had that chance as a wedding was celebrated in one of the villages I passed by. This was by all means an extraordinary moment made of singing, dancing, smiling, cooking and pig killing (with bow and arrows). The food lived up to the (very low) expectations but I'll never forget that moment. In case you're wondering, villagers kept on singing all night in the dark, lit only by the full moon. It was magical.
