You Are Just There Like My Skin is a performance/video-piece directed by Drifters, that consists of a sound-animated reading and djing session with Darrell Shines, an African-Amercian musician and organizer based in Palermo. The script has a pop-cultural approach to Luce Irigarayʼs writings about the fluidity of body relations. The montage of the writing from a third-wave-feminism with the staging of a protagonist of the Palermo cultural scene creates a space for articulating the question for the language and the body across genders.
