This video was shot from two spy cameras attached to the chests of dancers Natalie Gnam and Bevan Poole as they performed Art is Either a Complaint or Do Something Else, choreographed by James Gnam.
The audio, which played during the live performance, comes from the mesostic poem by John Cage titled Art is Either a Complaint or Do Something Else, based on excerpts from an interview with Jasper Johns.
This was the first performance in the atrium at W2 in Vancouver, curated by Martha Rans of the Artist Legal Outreach, and subsequently shown at the New Forms Festival.
