Traditionally called Sciardinu te petra, the “Stone Gardens”, this Salento off-the-road is a texture landscape of little stone walls splitting fields, sparse old country farms and pagghiare, dry stone towers retaining the traditional architecture. Here and there, near a olive tree spring off dolmens and menhirs, witness of a neolithic Salento networking Mediterranean and European early civilisations.
