The Center for Schools and Communities, in partnership with WINGS for Kids, will be hosting a 3-part webinar series for Pennsylvania’s 21st CCLC grantees.
Participants will receive a brief overview of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and what current research says. The presenter will explain the impact of SE skill development on oneself and reflect on the application of the five SE competencies in their own lives. Participants will practice awareness and display social emotional skills through reflection, discussion and activities in effort to develop 1-2 key ways of modeling SE skills for kids to build a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment. In conclusion, participants will gain knowledge on how to build a culture of SEL through modeling and implementation of rituals and routines that can be implemented to reinforce a positive learning environment.
