Patrick has graduate qualifications in Theology including a PhD in Practical Theology and a Masters degree in Moral Theology and Education. Patrick has been the Campus Dean at Australian Catholic University (Signadou) since 2009, and has been lecturing at ACU since 1996. Patrick has served as a regional School of Theology head, and as an assistant head in a national context. He has also been the director of the Institute for Catholic Identity and Mission since 2009.
Patrick’s primary areas of research are Christian Anthropology and effective teaching and learning in theology. He has extensive knowledge in the area of Practical Theology and its application in health care, as well as considerable expertise in public policy and governance issues. Patrick has authored numerous written publications, and in 2008, his book ‘Relational Health Care: A Practical Theology of Personhood’ was published.
Patrick is a member of the Archdiocesan Catholic Education Commission and is a Consultant Ethicist for the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council. For more information.
