My wife and I visited San Miguel de Allende in Central Mexico for our 30th wedding anniversary in January 2011. We stayed in town at a wonderful bed-and-breakfast called Casa Calderoni (casacalderoni.com/) for over a week and at the amazing Hacienda Las Trancas (haciendalastrancas.com/) for the final days. Absolutely incredible hospitality everywhere we went.
Renowned photographer and writer of the best available books on San Miguel de Allende, Robert de Gast was our guide in visits out to some of the 300 churches and calvarios within a 10 mile radius of the city center.
Shot in January, 2011, edited in Premiere Pro on the PC, Neat noise reduction, BlueFX transitions, some stabilization in post (where possible). Of course, we've got the bit of native stabilization in the device, but that doesn't count for much as you can see.
This camera is capable of a lot - first serious use of this $120 Kodak HD camera (Zi8), which is the size of a cell phone and has no appreciable depth of field capabilities.
Music by the Dave Holland, Pepe Habichuela, Herbie Hancock, Up, Bustle and Out and Elbow.
