ABOUT THE DAY
The first thing that comes to mind when thinking about Charisse and Michael as a couple is the fact that they are such humble, classy people. In this line of work, you meet all sorts of people, and it is really a breath of fresh air to have the chance to shoot a couple that really has a strong, genuine connection but doesn't feel the need to really display their affection publicly, or to show off how much they've spent on this or that. Maybe it's camera shyness, or the nerves kicking in (Michael's content laughing betrays him! LOL), but to me these guys were a delight to shoot in that they weren't trying, but just being. I think it shows in their wedding video: this very special day, shared with friends and family, was all about simplicity and the joy of getting together with people you love.
Charisse and Michael, I wish you all the best in your new life in Calgary. I hope that you'll be together for years and years (hopefully as many as your parents) and that you'll eventually have a family of your own. And thank you to the wedding party: despite (or maybe because of) your twisted sense of humour, we did feel super comfortable sharing this special day with all of you :)
Charisse and Michael, It was a great privilege to shoot your wedding!
