Marion Nestle is the Paulette Goddard Professor in the Department of Nutrition, Food Studies, and Public Health at New York University. She received her Ph.D. in molecular biology and her M.P.H. in public health nutrition both from the University of California, Berkeley. She is chair of the Council on Nutrition Policy of the National Association for Public Health Policy. Her research focuses on the socioeconomic influences on food choice, obesity, and food safety.
