SYNOPSIS
A powerful politician is in a confession box. The Man admits to starting a war (Iraq). As the confession starts to unravel, it becomes apparent that all is not what it seems… An animated conversation takes place between a troubled man and a struggling nun, a fuse is lit and agony unveiled.
Ten years earlier, in the Middle East, a VIP motorcade rushes through the outskirts of a hill top village while a care-free charity worker, Claire, accompanies a small group of orphaned refugee children collecting local eggs.
Who can tell when a chance meeting of yesterday will come full circle, a mighty crucible that strikes at the heart of choice, affecting a world, flooring the soul.
The Confessional is a contemporary, very topical parable set against the backdrop of the conundrum of the current Middle East crisis: it demands a pause for thought in a punchy, ironic, challenging narrative that asks: how much do I really care?
