Presentation for the Feral Conference, November 2018:
Seeking insight into cohabitation and cohabitation strategies is an
underexplored area, but highly relevant in the current era in which ‘wild’ animals can no longer
be seen as ‘out of place’. Cohabitation in this research involves an emphasis on relations and
interactions between humans and wild animals. The investigation for this research draws on an interpretive multispecies research approach and the research is based on two case studies - black bear management in Colorado, USA and wild boar management at the Veluwe, the Netherlands.
