I just returned. It was my first time visiting, although I’ve known of it for years. I would often stop up and look for a bit, truly mesmerised by its existence, and contemplate its realisme. In many ways it seemed surreal, yet it existed, as it was the most normal thing. Maybe the only thing normal around here.
I’ve recently been puzzled by the idea of enlarging objects without digital manipulation, within a 3-dimensional space. Today I reckon I succeeded. This little “breakthrough” means it would work within video (e.g. having an “enlarged” mouse walk about in a neighbourhood) or as sculpture where you’d be able to walk around and experience the effect of the optical-illusion up close.
