Set against a lush Western Indian landscape during the monsoon season, CHITRAKUT delicately sets the tone, interweaving the lives of Saloni, Shaan, Debu, Alisha and Kim - all converging at different intersections of life, discovering the meaning of love, encapsulating fractured feelings, consumption of romantic longing and fleeting moments.
When Debu met Alisha the beginning of a great love story blossomed in his head, unknown to him she was in a desperate attempt to get over her past love.
Shaan and Saloni struggle with their undefined relationship; Shaan being hell bent on staying in denial and Saloni not willing to give up on their relationship so easily. Shaan always on the lookout for a quick buck gets himself into a pitiful condition where he has no option but to steal from the person who cared for him the most.
Debu having learnt his lesson from each misadventure smarts up to the ways of women. Shaan goes back to his original task of building an animal shelter. Alisha finds her feet as an individual and a new beginning looms when she meets Shaan in Goa. Debu and Saloni transition their chance meetings into a friendship to possibly something even more.
