We went over to Little Kaiteriteri to do some Kayaking, we called into a little bay and got a bit of video of a Kereru or New Zealand Pigeon, fully protected but still illegally take for food, we had to turn back at Stevens Bay when the wind got up, an inflatable Sea Eagle Paddle Ski is a bit lively when it's wind against tide and then there was the problem of all the speed boats out at Kaiteriteri that have turned a once nice swimming beach into a danger area, so we put the Kayak back in the car and had a walk over to watch the fun as the tide went out, stranding some of the speed boats, with an hour to go to low tide. I wondered if it ever crossed there minds that the fuel they use today is a resource we should be conserving, probably not.
