Day Four of The Captain’s Ride 2018;
BRIGHT TO HARRIETVILLE 109.5 K 2586 VM
Backing up from the longest day, today is the highest climb of the Tour. A day of tough grueling hard work to the top of mountains in the Victorian Highlands, and radical fast descents. Riders needed to be at their best and focused.
The 2018 Rider Team have shown incredible strength of character in pushing through what's surely one of the toughest rides they've ever done.
Their dedication to putting rare diseases on the map for children and families who have no else to go is inspiring.
The Captain’s Ride is the cornerstone of the Steve Waugh Foundation’s annual fundraising campaign - an exclusive, boutique, 6-day on-road cycle Tour and Leadership Program.
One of the key objectives of the ride is to foster a sense of camaraderie and teamwork amongst the riders, provide a challenge that tests riders both mentally and physically, and to create an experience that provides lifelong memories and connections.
This ride is about teamwork, camaraderie, mateship and 'strength of character'. It's at the core of the Steve Waugh Foundation, from the people we support, to the people who support us.
