Ninja Shop’s membership feature allows you to protect your WordPress post pages, categories, tags, custom post types, and more based on the membership status.
Once you have installed and activated the membership feature in the Shop menu you'll see Add Membership.
If memberships is the only product type that you have enabled, here you'll simply see Add Product.
Creating a membership product is similar to creating any other Ninja Shop product type.
One of the unique features for the membership product type is the content access.
This allows you to protect your content based on the customer’s membership.
Here you have the option to create rules and groups.
Groups allow you to better organize your restricted content.
To create a new group, just click the Add New Group button, and give your group a name.
To create new rules, click the Add New Rule button.
You'll start by selecting the content type that you'd like to restrict, which includes post, pages, categories, and more.
Next you'll select the specific content you want restricted within that content type.
Finally you can set a delay for when your content is made accessible to customers.
Once you finish creating your groups and rules you can drag and drop your rules into the appropriate groups.
You can also restrict access directly from the post or page on the right-hand side of the page.
You'll utilize the membership access section to restrict your post or page.
Click the Add Restriction button, select the membership option, and you can set when this content will become available.
Now hit OK and update or publish your content.
When you go back into your membership product, you'll now see the new rule that you created.
