Catherine Doreen Whidden
Celebration of Life
April 28, 1925 ~ August 8, 2018
In loving memory of Catherine Doreen Whidden (nee Prince). Doreen quietly left us during her 93rd year to be with her Lord and Saviour forever. Survived by Doreen’s children: Warren (Joanne) Whidden, Leslie (Glen) Mullen, and Marnie Whidden (Roy Sommerey) will miss her, as will her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We are grateful for the many ways Doreen supported and blessed us during her life. Doreen’s journey on earth is now complete, and she has entered into all the joy and richness of eternal life with her Heavenly Father. Thank you to all who supported and cared for Doreen (and to the people who supported Doreen’s caregivers), particularly during Doreen's final months.

Postlude - Peter DeVries
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen
