First ever TimeLapse (end of vid). This video shows my progression through the day and night testing long exposures on my T2i. I eventually made a short timelapse (found at the end) of the stars from the beach. The battery grip I purchased has a built in intervalometer which was tricky to setup at first. Once I figured out that the stars would streak across the frame if I left the aperture open too long I finally found the right amount of time for each picture/frame. I suggest shorter burst of around 10 seconds exposure works best and shoot in RAW to capture the most detail in each shot. This night the clouds were coming in fast but I managed to capture enough of the beautiful night sky for a few seconds of timelapse.

He explains everything about how to shoot the stars with your DSLR. The Rule of 600. 600/14mm lens=42 second exposure max without streaking stars. Amazing info!
