In this third part of our Spider tutorial for Blender 2.5, we set up and create a walk cycle for the octoped (8-legged) creature. Then we create another animation clip of the little guy jumping (to be combined with the walk cycle in with the NLA editor). We set up a path constraint for him to walk along, then go into the NLA (non-linear action) editor, and put in the Walk Cycle, so we have the illusion of him walking along the path, and then at the end, we put the Jump action in the mix, so that he jumps after he finishes walking. Finally, we animated the camera and look-at target to follow along as he walks, then position it so that when he jumps, it's directly at the camera. We finish up by rendering out a test video of the scene.
