Mini documentary of artist Matthew Rosier's installation 108 Steps, Macclesfield, 2018.
When Cheshire East and SHIFT invited artist Matthew Rosier to create a digital work that responded to Macclesfield's public spaces, he was immediately drawn to the town's historic 108 Steps. In capturing a week in the life of the steps on film and projecting this back for the public to experience, the steps became a lens through which to observe a town and its people.
The project was commissioned by SHIFT and Cheshire East, with support from Macclesfield’s Barnaby Festival and Arts Council England, and was produced by FutureEverything.
