Here is a short footage made with the GH2 using the hacked firmware by Vitaliy and latest settings from DriftWood: GOP1 at 176Mbit/s. Theses settings are wonderful. You need a fast SD card to avoid any error while recording.
As usual: you must download the original video file (.mts) because the displayed version is recompressed and do not reflect the real quality of the footage. You need a Vimeo account for that (even a free one.)
This was shot using the Panasonic 20mm lens.
Settings: 160ISO, 24fps, 1/50s, ~f2 (not sure, but close), Smooth -2/0/0/0.
This footage is made only of "I" frames. So it's close to a MJPEG format. This can be observed in the video if you look closely at the flower: no artefacts appear due to the usual GOP scheme compression.
Also due to the high bitrate, the flower is well detached from the background. This is an interesting enhancement for chroma keying.
Sorry about the sound track (the car starting). I wanted to avoid editing the video to post it unchanged.
