The political action yard signs were intended to activate voters in the mid-term 2018 election to save democracy by voting for Democratic candidates. The political action yard signs were paid for by artist Randy Burman and not authorized by any party, candidate or his/her committee.
Each of the signs asks the same question in bold black type,"How Are You Voting This Year?" followed by a rectangular blue box containing a white checkbox and to the right of the checkbox, in white letters, the word "Democrat". Directly below the blue box is an identical red box also containing a white checkbox and to the right of it, in white letters (and sometimes emojis or other graphics) are words and phrases gleaned from the news and articles describing or associated with Republicans and Conservative values.
Prior to the 2018 midterm elections the artist created and made the printed yard signs available for FREE (including wire lawn stand and shipping anywhere in the U.S.) in exchange for a promise to display the sign(s), take and post the photos to social media with the hashtag #savedemocracy and the name @randyburman (for tracking). This video is a compilation of those images.
The artist stopped giving the signs away for free about two weeks before the election. Since then he has uploaded the designs to Zazzle store called #savedemocracy, where the designs can now be ordered on yard signs, t-shirts, mugs and other items. https://www.zazzle.com/savedemocracy/products
