"Pressure", 2011
2 kgs of copper piping, projector, media player, speakers
animation and sound: 3 minute 15s loop, 18m 2
edition of 3

The sculptural components of "Pressure (Presión)" consist of discarded metal pipes and tubes that have been refashioned into delicate sculptures hanging from the ceiling. A video animation reminiscent of the hot and cold water that once ran through the tubes is projected onto the sculpture, while an audio component - sound of fluids in movement, high-pressure circuits and systems - come together in a hypnotic choreography that extends even to the shadows wrapping around the exhibition space.
