Angela da Silva's life-long passion for history has shaped everything from her professional career as a professor of American Cultural Studies at Lindenwood University to her impression of a 19th Century African American woman. She goes to extreme measures to understand and relate to the experiences of life on the plantation in the mid 19th Century. "We in the 21st Century can't imagine what living back then would have been," said da Silva. "Maybe I can open just a little light on that.
