(This piece is difficult to document because of the high-contrast light conditions, multiple focal depths, and rapid motion involved, which are still handled much better by eyes than cameras.)
The projected video (4 min.) comprises manipulated footage of a sing-along to a famous children's movie, with some lyrics left unpixellated and with interpolated excerpts from Hamlet. It can be viewed at vimeo.com/241280236. The audio is two tracks of me playing my bathroom sink plumbing, recorded on a defective recorder.
This piece continues my explorations/spoofings relating to dimensionality and systems, focussing on border- and identity-related equilibria, and with an eye toward what popular culture is telling us about them.
Second documentation segment shot by Frank Darko; third clip by Rachel Rogerson; the rest by anonymous.
