The earth is God's, and everything in it. The members of the World Mission Society Church of God take care of the world they live in and actively participate in environmental cleanup events.
On July 17, 2010, the volunteers of the Church of God went to the Appelt Park (Riverdale, NJ) to clear a large tract of wild forest of an invasive, non-native plant, the Japanese knotweed (Fallopia japonica).
Conservationists in the area, who are concerned about the advance of this plant in New Jersey, praised the work and effort of the volunteers. The officials of the Pequannock River Coalition were greatly pleased with the progress achieved during this cleanup task.
