"InterFaith Run for a United World" is an annual international gathering of religions that takes place on the weekend of the Night Marathon in Luxembourg.
Clergymen and representatives of world religions get to know each other and demonstrate peace between religions and cultures.
The InterFaith weekend offers scope for a wide range of interactions such as visits to individual congregations and praying for peace together.
It all started in 2008 with the joy of running through the wonderful landscape of Luxembourg.
Every year since then, Interfaith has participated in the night marathon. Ten years later, in 2018, there were 86 Interfaith runners. And the number is continuously growing.
Particularly symbolic is the mix of religions in the InterFaith marathon teams. Over the years, long-term international links have developed. Patrons of the project are the Dalai Lama and the Archbishop of Luxembourg.
We warmly invite all clergy and committed members of world religions to participate in the next interfaith run in Luxembourg, so as to boost the project and help it to progress.
