An innovative interactive exhibit that evokes the natural wonder of California's landscape, George's Treehouse reflects a patient-centred approach to medical care that offers children a powerful way to overcome the stresses of their patient experience. Visitors are invited to a fully immersive digital space where they have the power to create and change the environment around them, projected as 3 large scale visuals onto the exhibit's treehouse walls. Using any of three kiosks, users can choose and customize a creature, activity, or vegetable of their own, to join into the colourful world projected on the treehouse walls. A multi-user experience, it transports its young visitors into a creative environement that reduces their anxiety. Developed for Valley Children's Hospital in Madera, California, George's Treehouse features beautiful environmental effects, along with audio and interactive play in a manner that engages patients and their families through curiosity, exploration and imagination.
