This was my second attempt at a time-lapse ever. It was a clear but dark night. I started taking photos at 12.30am until 5.30am. I set up on my balcony of my house in Jindabyne, NSW.
The long starry lines that appear are shooting stars, I think there is 3 in total.
I did not have a remote shutter, so I used my laptop with EOS Utility and USB cord.
After all the photos had been taken and where then on my laptop.
I then imported them into Quicktime Pro, that puts them together making them look like a video. It was to slow just with Quicktime. I imported my Quicktime file into Adobe CS4 Premiere then speed it up 50%. This is the final outcome.
Photo taken every 5 seconds for 5 hrs
What I used:
Canon 550D (a friends)
Sigma f2.8 17-70mm HSM DC Lens
20 year old Germen tripod
MacBook Pro 13"
Adobe CS4 Premiere Pro
Please tell me what can be changed and what you think. I now have a remote for time-lapse and received my 60D and will be hopefully doing a few more.
